| "ShukRun" makes shopping at the Shuk easy

The heart of Jerusalem is found in the Machane Yehuda Shuk. From the bustling stalls, the calls of sales on bananas, to the sights and smells of fresh produce, it's an experience not to be missed.

Never to be missed, BUT ONLY IF you are a tourist, you live within walking distance, you have hours to navigate through the crowded get the point. Many times going to the Shuk is just not worth the hassle.

And so ShukRun  was born. Created for those who just didn't have the strength or time to schlep all the way to the shuk for a basket of produce. Shukrun does the buying and schlepping for you.

"We wanted to create that same kind of convenient shopping experience but enable people to get much better quality produce and goods from the Shuk without having to leave their homes". Explained sole owner, Uriya Achituv of Gush Etzion.

Before taking their first order, Uriya hit the shuk and met with dozens of top vendors. After a rigorous process selecting the right partners, they started delivering some of the most fresh, affordable and strictly kosher produce.

"Many of our customers are couples with children and have so much on their plate. When we deliver, the smiles on their faces is what makes this work so much more than just a job". Uriya said.

With a focus on the native Hebrew-speaking Israelis, Shukrun has recently launched their online store in English.

"We know how English speakers have expectations, which many time surpass those who are Israeli Born, but we are up for the challenge," says Uriya.
