| Traffic arrangements in Jerusalem: Hol Hamoed Sukkot, 5778

The Jerusalem Municipality invites all of Israel to make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and to enjoy the many events and sites in the city during the holiday.
 
The transportation system in Jerusalem is preparing for the intermediate days of Sukkot with special arrangements that will enable the hundreds of thousands of visitors to Jerusalem to reach convenient locations and all the main destinations in Jerusalem. Egged company will reinforce the lines in the capital and will operate special lines to the Western Wall *
 
* Light rail will operate at increased frequency *
 
* Movement throughout the city will be conducted as a series except for a few narrow roads adjacent to the Wailing Wall which will be subject to traffic arrangements as detailed below *
 
* The Old City will be closed all days of the holiday for the entrance of private vehicles except for residents of the area *
 
* The parking lots at Pisgat Ze'ev, Ammunition Hill and Mount Herzl are available to public transport passengers at no additional charge *
 
* The public is asked to use public transportation and parking lots throughout the city *

The following are the arrangements:
 

Chol Hamoed Succoth - October 6-12, 2017, 14th of Tishrei 5769

Light Rail

CityPass will adjust the frequency of the light train on demand, so that between 9:00 and 20:00 a train will arrive every six minutes.
The light rail controllers will be placed next to the ticketing machines at the central stations in order to assist the traveling public and visitors in the purchase process as necessary, and to speed up the process.
On the day of the priestly blessing, on October 8, 2017 (Sunday), there will also be manned sales stations at the Ammunition Hill stations and at the municipality where it will be possible to purchase round trip tickets on credit or cash.

Egged - reinforcement and special lines:

Line 111 - will operate on the Sukkot holiday on October 8-10, 2017 (Sunday through Tuesday) from the Teddy Stadium parking lot to the Western Wall, and will run in the direction of the Teddy-Kotel Stadium from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. and from the Kotel to Teddy from 08:00 to 23:00. The trip is free of charge. We recommend parking at the Teddy Stadium parking lot or nearby parking lots, and follow the directions at the stadium because of the feasibility of the changes.

Lines 1 and 3 - The hours of these lines during Sukkot will be extended towards the Western Wall, and will run toward the Western Wall until 2:00 PM, and from the Kotel until 3:00 PM On Hoshana Rabbah night, the lines will operate throughout the night.

At certain hours, these lines will travel directly to the Kotel from the Ramat Shlomo, Ramot, Neve Ya'akov, Har Nof, Givat Shaul and Bayit Vegan neighborhoods: from 17:00 to 20:00 during chol hamoed and until 21:30 on Motzei Shabbat and Motzei Yomtov.

Line 333 - The line will operate during Sukkot from the Shmuel Hanavi station (the stone station) to the Western Wall, which ends at Har Hotzvim, and provides a link to the interurban lines on Sunday 8/10/17. the following On Monday and Tuesday the busses will run from 11:00 until midnight.

Closure of roads to private vehicles (October 8-10, 2017):

1. Hebron Road - From the Hasmonean St. to the Old City.
2. Road No. 1 - From the national headquarters in the direction of the Old City.
3. Yitzhak Kariv - in both directions.
4. Agron Street in the direction of Mamilla.
5. Jerusalem Brigade - in both directions.

6. The Old City will be closed to private vehicles except for residents of the area. A vehicle carrying a disabled person will enter the Old City via the Zion Gate from Derech Hebron / David Remez only. Large vehicles with a disabled person will arrive at the Old City from the direction of Wadi Joz, to the Dung Gate. 
 
Chol Hamoed Succoth, 5-12 / 17/17, Tishrei, 9 th
City of Light Rail - During the intermediate days of the festival the frequency of the light trains will be adjusted to the demand, so that from 9:00 to 20:00 the frequency of trains will be six minutes.
The light rail controllers will be placed next to the ticketing machines at the central stations in order to assist the traveling public and visitors in the purchase process as necessary and expedite the process.
On the day of the priestly blessing, Sunday 8/10/17, there will also be manned sales stations at the Ammunition Hill and City Hall stations, where it will be possible to purchase round trip tickets on credit or cash.
 
Egged will increase the lines and operate special lines:
Line 111 will run during Sukkot on Sundays to Tuesdays from 8-10 October 2017, from the Teddy Parking Lot to the Kotel: From the Teddy Parking Lot between 07:00 and 22:00 from the Kotel between 08:00 and 23:00 )
You can park in the Teddy parking lot and nearby parking lots.
There may be changes to the station location. Follow the directions at the Teddy station.
 
Lines 1,3: On Succoth, the hours of the lines will be extended to the Western Wall: until 02:00, from the Western Wall: until 3:00 pm On the night of Hoshana Rabbah, the lines will operate throughout the night.
 
Kavim 1, 3 Direct to the Western Wall: Sukkot from Ramat Shlomo, Ramot, Neve Ya'akov, Har Nof, Givat Shaul and Bayit Vegan Sunday - Tuesday 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00 : 00.
Saturday night and the arrival of the first holiday at 21:30.
 
Line 333: Sukkot from the Prophet Samuel (the stone station) to the Western Wall The line ends at Har Hotzvim and provides a link to interurban lines: Sunday (Birkat Kohanim): 06: 45-24: 00,
Monday, Tuesday: 11: 00-24: 00
 
On 8-10 / 10/2017, the following routes will be closed for private vehicles:
Derech Hebron - From the Hasmonean St. to the Old City
Route 1 - From the national headquarters towards the Old City
Yitzhak Kariv - in both directions
Agron Street towards Mamilla
The Jerusalem Brigade - in both directions
 
The Old City will be closed to private cars except for residents of the area.
A vehicle carrying a disabled character will enter the Old City through the Zion Gate, coming from the direction of Hebron Road / David Remez only. Large vehicles with a handicapped character will arrive at the Old City from the direction of Wadi Joz, to the Dung Gate.

Tuesday, 10 Tishrei, 10/10/2017 - The Jerusalem March
The march will be held on 9-10 / 10/2017. Due to the festive parade in the city center, on Tuesday, 10/10/2017, between 14: 00-18: 00, delegates will be closed in the center of the city for private and public transportation. The light rail will operate as usual.
 
The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic during the festive parade from 13:00 to 18:00:
Ben-Zvi (in the section between Agripas and the Ruppin junction), Rabin Boulevard, Bezalel, Ben Yehuda, Shmuel Hanagid, Bari, King George, Agron, Hillel, Menashe Ben Israel. (Traffic disruptions are expected in the streets that connect to these streets).
Between 08:30 and 13:00 (estimated) there may be traffic disruption on the streets of the President, the Ari, Tudela, Saadia Gaon, Yehoshua Yavin.
On the following streets, parking will be strictly prohibited from midnight on the night before the march (Monday, 9/10/2017 at 18:00 and until 10/10/2017 at 18:00, estimated): Ben Zvi, Hillel, Menashe Ben Israel, King David , David Remez.
The passengers in Emek Refaim and Bethlehem Road to the north have to travel through the IDF Tunnel.
For those coming to Jerusalem, turn to Herzl / Begin Boulevard. It is recommended to enter through Route 9.
There will be changes in public transport routes during the march. There will be no service on the streets of Keren Hayesod, King David, King George and Alayash. The service will be given on the streets of Agripas, the Prophets, King Solomon, the tribes of Israel and Isaac Kariv.
Vehicles parked in violation of traffic laws and prohibited places will tow. The public is asked to use it

If you arrive in a private car, you can park at the Teddy Stadium or the Central Bus Station area, and from there you will be given transportation to the starting points from 06:30.
 
Transportation Back to Teddy Magen Sacher Stadium (Ben Tzvi St. and Ruppin St., next to the bus station) between 12: 00-15: 00.
Shuttle services will not be provided back from Magen Sacher to the starting points.
 
The national parking lot is open to the marchers, free of charge between 08:00 and 21:00.
 
Drivers are asked to obey the instructions of the police and the ushers along the route of the march
