Dear Writers of All Levels,
This is an updated schedule of Memoir Writing Classes offered this
summer. There will be three levels offered in Tel Aviv, as well as an
intensive workshop up north. If you have any questions please be in
contact with me. Many students have taken the courses described below
and would be happy to share their experiences.

About the instructor:
Madelyn is an award-winning, published playwright and theater director
with an MFA from New York University where she taught playwriting,
screenwriting, and memoir writing. She has collaborated on the
development of many educational writing and arts programs in the New
York City-area. Most recently, she founded Creative Writing Semester in
Israel, starting in 2011.
Memoir I/Tel Aviv
Sundays, 6:00- 8:30 June 27- July 25 500 NIS In this course, you
will: -Learn to focus and structure your life stories -Apply craft
elements such as character, plot, setting, dialogue, pacing, and theme.
This course will include: -Short form memoirs -Weekly writing exercises
-Lectures on the basics of structure and craft -Discussion of student
writing Memoir II /Tel Aviv Wednesdays, 6:30- 8:15 June 30-
August 18 640 NIS In this course, you will: -Sharpen storytelling
skills -Write or refine short memoir pieces or begin a book. This
course will include: -Lectures that expand on basics of memoir craft and
structure -Writing exercises -Discussion of student writing Advanced
Memoir Tuesdays, 6:30-8:15 July 6-August 17 600 NIS For writers
working essay or book length memoirs. 3-Day Memoir Workshop in the
North
