EMA Care is seeking a medic to be an on-call emergency room advocate to join our team. High level of professionalism and ability to create interpersonal relationships is required.
Duties, Responsibilities, & Skills
Available, when on call, to attend emergency room visits under remote guidance by our medical team
Identifies and communicates the current patient situation in the Emergency Room
Advocates on behalf of the client to the healthcare team ensuring quality health care (with team guidance)
Provides updates to the client/others (as needed) regarding the plan of care (with team guidance)
Communicates plan of care with the On-call telemedicine nurse
Ensures client understands the plan of care and paperwork to collect from the ER (with team guidance)
Documents appropriately
12-hour shifts “on call” (available to attend ER) with stipend per shift plus generous hourly compensation when called to duty
Qualifications
General Medical Knowledge (Minimum medic training with experience)
Native-level English
Fluent Hebrew (that will allow for an understanding of medical situations)
High-level interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask
Team player
