Film Festival - More than 180 films from Israel and the world will be screened at the festival

"The Unofficial", the first feature film by director Eliran Malka, will open the 35th Jerusalem Film Festival at a festive premiere on July 26, 18 at the Sultan's Pool.

The unofficial "Shababnikim" film by Eliran Malka is an original comic drama inspired by the extraordinary story of the establishment of the Shas party, with an extraordinary cast of actors, led by Shuli Rand, in a rare and impressive performance, in the role of one person who wanted a small change , And changed an entire country.

The film, produced by Dori Media Paran - Yoni Faran, will be distributed by Lev Cinemas and will be screened in Israel on July 26.

The festival will be closed with a screening of the animated film "Island of Dogs" by American director Wes Anderson. The film opened the Berlin Festival and won acclaim. The film will be distributed in Israel by Film Forum and will be screened on August 9th.

More than 180 films from 60 different countries will be screened at the festival and will reflect the best Israeli and international annual harvest. The films are screened at the Jerusalem Cinematheque and selected cinemas throughout the city. The festival's events include meetings with leading filmmakers from Israel and the world, and professional workshops in the field of cinema, sparkling premieres, parties, shows and outdoor events of unprecedented scope.

This year, the festival will launch the first "Parcolno", a special outdoor project in Gan Ha'atzmaut: a new and summer site designed for the general public, which will offer attractive events for a variety of audiences, youth and children's families, and will include various film screenings, "Which broadcasts summer films to viewers sitting in boats in a huge pool. A film accompanied by a symphonic orchestra lives on stage, a central stage with performances and night events, food trucks (food trax) and more.

The festival will also feature a traveling movie theater equipped with quality projection equipment that will tour the city's neighborhoods and offer the general public free of the festival's best films.
