| The only Israeli plastic-recycling plant closed its doors

Aviv Industries closed the only factory in Israel to recycle plastic bottles in Neot Hovav yesterday. From now on, all plastic waste from Israel will be transported abroad, reports Ynet.

The company continues to operate, but closed the plant, dismissing most of its 70 employees.  The plant began reducing activity due to financial problems last year. The Mizrachi family, owners of the plant, tried to receive grants from the Ministry of Economics and Industry, as well as from the Environmental Protection Ministry's cleaning fund, but these efforts did not bear fruit.
