Mayor of Jerusalem Moshe Lion said this week that the city would cancel entrance fees for story hours in libraries.

The cancellation of the payment came in order to allow the libraries to reach every child in the community and to give the magic of the story. Storytime is a wonderful experience for all members of the family and exposes the toddlers in childhood to literary experiences that contribute to children's knowledge and enrich the language.

The weekly story hour in the libraries is a veteran enterprise that has been active for more than 20 years and is the cornerstone and opportunity for toddlers and young families. Quality entertainment - listen to the story and ask books for them and the whole family.

We invite all parents, grandparents, and toddlers to reach the library, to participate in the story hours and to enjoy the varied activities offered by the libraries.

It should be noted that lending books in public libraries in Jerusalem is a free municipal service. The libraries are scattered throughout the city and in all neighborhoods of the city for the benefit of the residents.

For children, youth, soldiers, young people, parents and adults, we call for utilizing the resources available to them in libraries.
