The Talmud teaches that 10 measures of beauty descended on the world. Nine were taken by Jerusalem and one by the rest of the world. This workshop will take us through Teddy Park and into the picturesque neighborhood of Yemin Moshe as we explore the meaning of beauty and how the camera teaches us to see and appreciate the visual world.
Jerusalem of Gold in Song and Pictures: Thursday, Feb. 20 at 10 a.m.
We’ll take a melodic stroll across Mt. Zion into the Old City and the heart of Israel’s unofficial national anthem, Yerushelayim Shel Zahav. By studying the lyrics of this beloved song, we’ll learn how to use the camera to convert emotional ideas and imagery into expressive photographs.
