Job Description: The administrative team in the Chairman's Office is entrusted with all the secretarial and day-to-day administration tasks to ensure the day-to-day activities of the office and to respond to a variety of internal and external organizational entities.

The Director of International and Government Relations, works as part of the Chairman's Office - maintains frequent contact with a variety of diplomatic, governmental and organizational entities in Israel and around the world.

Main Job features:

  1. Assisting the Director of International Relations and Government Relations at Yad Vashem in carrying out diverse administrative tasks, including:
    • Management of the diary of the Director of International Relations and Government Relations
    • Receiving external inquiries and assisting in monitoring their execution
    • Assistance in coordinating the actions of all Yad Vashem entities that maintain contact with external entities
    • Assistance in developing and maintaining ongoing working relationships with governmental, diplomatic and organizational entities
    • Locating information relevant to the Directors activity and processing it according to his instructions
  2. Assisting in the day-to-day conduct of the Chairman's office, including:
    • Secretarial tasks, such as: drafting and writing letters, mail, filing, diary, hosting meetings, diplomats and guests of the bureau
    • Answering the phone and providing an initial response; Routing referrals to the appropriate Division and monitoring the execution and follow-up
    • Contact with the Divisions and Units of Yad Vashem
    • Additional administrative tasks as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • English at a native language level, Hebrew at a high level - mandatory, including a high level of written and oral articulation
  • Additional languages will be an advantage
  • Proven experience in administrative work. Experience working in a large international organization will be an advantage
  • Experience working in a computerized environment. Proficiency in all Office software and familiarity with internet search tools
  • Excellent human relations, helpfulness and ability to work in a team
  • Representativeness and discretion

  • Proven experience working in a multitasking environment and the ability to deal with stressful situations
  • Availability to work during non-routine hours and overtime

  • Salary according to the salary scales accepted at Yad Vashem
