Do you want to heal the roots of  unresolved pain and chronic illness, rather than just treating symptoms with drugs and procedures?  Looking for reliable guidance about integrating natural healing approaches with conventional medical care?

Dr Andrew David Shiller earned his MD at Duke University and in 2000 completed a combined residency at Harvard Medical School in Internal Medicine, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry).  He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), so he has specialized knowledge of pain and problems of the bones, muscles, joints, nerves, and brain, with an emphasis on helping improve recovery and quality of life.

He has an excellent bedside manner and forges a therapeutic relationship that puts even the most doctor-phobic patients at ease.  Besides employing modern cutting edge medical knowledge, he offers osteopathy, osteopathic manual treatment, mindbody medicine, functional medicine, nutritional healing.

He's more than a pain doctor; This is not regular pain management.

His approach is to clarify all of the factors that are creating the pain, illness and disability, and works to unravel them as close to their root as possible.  Then he creates a treatment plan that draws on the the most appropriate aspects of conventional medicine and complementary natural medicine.  He knows the importance of the mind-body connection and will help empower you to use it to your best ability.

He  has extensive experience with a broad range of chronic injuries and illnesses, including: back pain, neck pain, disc herniation, radiculopathy, myofascial pain, bursitis, rib fracture, zoster, shingles, colitis, crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, lupus, spinal cord injury, brain injury, post-surgical pain, neuropathy, nerve damage, nerve injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, fibromyalgia.

He has worked closely with the full range of clinicians including physical therapy, occupational therapy, naturopaths, chinese medcine, acupuncture, bodywork, massage, craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release.  He has supervised and enabled recovery and rehabilitation for thousands of patients after pelvic or spinal fracture, hip fracture, knee replacement, multiple trauma, hip replacement, open-heart surgery, neurologic injuries, guillan barre syndrome and other complex traumatic and medical challenges.

Ask about LDN (low dose naltrexone) which is an effective and very safe approach to auto-immune problems, chronic inflammation, and chronic pain.  It is often synergistic with the other approaches discussed above.

Dr. Andrew David Shiller, besides being an expert in his field and professional, he is a very kind soul. He will give you a very thorough evaluation of your problem and spend time with you. He understood my pain problem which I had been suffering from for decades and explained to me that this new treatment he is prescribing for me is a type that I hadn't tried and it had good results with other patients. I'm more hopeful now than I've been in years.

I highly recommend Dr. Shiller. Beyond his medical expertise and professionalism, he is exceptionally warm and caring. He spent time to understand both the physical and psychological problems I was facing after chemotherapy, had tremendous insight and put me on a healthy track that improved my physical and emotional wellbeing.

Dr. Schiller--highly recommended!

I went to see Dr Schiller for a condition of near daily headaches that were going on for about a month, seemingly with no end in sight. He had been highly recommended and, even though I didn't quite understand what osteopathy was, I thought I'd give it a try! Dr. Schiller first conducted an in-depth evaluation of my health history, and then laid me on the table for an osteopathic treatment. It was a very non-invasive, gentle process, I even fell asleep on and off, and generally felt a deep sense of relaxation. This treatment was the beginning of the end of my headaches. While they didn't stop at once, the frequency and severity began to decrease immediately, and within the span of a few days I was headache-free! I'm a new believer in osteopathy! We also spoke in-depth about nutrition-related improvements I could make, which left me feeling more empowered to try and tackle whatever was out of balance internally. Can't recommend Dr Schiller enough

This doctor became a friend at my Rabbi's Shabbos table. He became my doctor when I had a fight with the snow in Monsey, NY. The snow won. Dr. Shiller made a huge difference in alleviating my pain. He made Aliyah and is in the Yerushalayim area. If you're in pain, go see him!
