Part-Time Script Assistant (Remote – Contractor)

We’re hiring a skilled writer/editor to help write, edit, and improve YouTube scripts focused on VPNs and tech. This is a remote, part-time contractor role, with room to grow.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to work with AI tools—not just run prompts and move on, but take that output and elevate it with strong writing, critical thinking, and real research. AI is there to help, and experience using tools like ChatGPT and Gemini is an advantage, but you’ll be the one making sure the final script is accurate, clear, and genuinely valuable for our viewers.

You also need to be adaptable and open to learning our style and the types of videos we make.

Your Mission
Take VPN-review scripts and make them factually current, clearly written, and genuinely helpful—using tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok as assistants, not as a substitute for real comprehension, editing, or research.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Revise and polish scripts for clarity, accuracy, tone, and structure
  
  
• Fact-check claims using credible, original sources (not summaries or outdated blog posts). Make sure any information is up to date.
  
  
• Adapt and shape the script to match a friendly, conversational, first-person voice
  
  
• Spot and remove clichés, marketing fluff, or robotic phrasing
  
  
• Call out product weaknesses honestly, just like a real reviewer would
  
  
• Follow detailed instructions and keep the script aligned with our style and pacing
  
  
• Write and edit with the audience in mind: informative, casual, trustworthy
  

What We’re Looking For

• Strong writing and editing skills—this is a must
  
  
• Excellent English comprehension and a sharp eye for flow and nuance
  
  
• Deep attention to detail—you’ll be catching subtle errors and inconsistencies
  
  
• Comfortable using AI tools as a starting point, not a crutch
  
  
• Able to explain and adjust your AI prompts based on the script’s needs
  
  
• Confident with fact-checking and spotting inaccuracies
  
  
• Familiarity with VPNs and concepts, or willing to put in the time to learn.
  
  
• Experience with YouTube content and tech product reviews is a plus
  
  
• Reliable, communicative, and serious about long-term work
