Israeli soldier wounded during counter-terror operation in Judea and Samaria

The soldier was shot in the arm, suffering light wounds • Israeli forces arrest 14 terror suspects, including one believed to have been involved in a shooting attack on an Israeli bus.

An Israeli soldier was lightly wounded by Palestinian gunfire during a counter-terror operation on Wednesday in the town of Bruqin in Judea and Samaria, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

The soldier, who was shot in the arm, was evacuated to hospital for treatment, the IDF said in a statement.

Fourteen terror suspects were apprehended during counter-terror raids in Judea and Samaria overnight Wednesday, as part of the IDF’s “Operation Breakwater,” launched in March following a wave of deadly terror attacks in Israeli cities.

One of the suspects is believed to have been involved in the shooting on an Israeli bus on Aug. 20, Channel 12 reported.

Israeli forces also confiscated illegal weapons in the town of Kafr al-Pawer, according to the IDF.
