"עַל גֵּרֵי הַצֶּדֶק... יֶהֶמוּ נָא רַחֲמֶיךָ"
I am working to raise funds on behalf of a wonderful family of geirei tzedek (converts to Judaism) that I've been helping for the past 12 years. They are currently facing many difficulties that require assistance and support:
Four years ago, the mother gave birth to Shimmy, who is handicapped and unable to walk or function properly. As a result, the mother quit her job, and the father had to stop learning in Kollel, where he'd been making amazing progress in his Torah studies. The family's financial situation deteriorated rapidly, and as they have no relatives or friends, I undertook to help them. The burden of supporting this family has been on my shoulders ever since.
One of the family's main difficulties is that there are seven people living in a tiny third-floor apartment without an elevator. This means that a number of times a day, the parents have to carry their handicapped child in his wheelchair up and down three flights of stairs.
They urgently need to move to a ground-floor apartment so that taking Shimmy out will not involve so much hardship. In addition, both the parents and the children are suffering from the crowded conditions of their current accommodations. They're desperate for more space.
As mentioned, this family of converts has no relatives or acquaintances, so they are depending on you, rachmanim bnei rachmanim, who appreciate the greatness of the mitzvah of Ve'ahavta es hager to come to their aid.
You will surely merit the blessing promised to those who gladden the convert:
"אם אתה משמח את שלי אני משמח את שלך"
