Pharmaceutical Contamination Detected in Israeli Sea Water

A study by a team from the Tel Aviv University School of Zoology and the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History has discovered serious environmental contamination in the sea water along Israel’s Mediterranean coastline.

The research team led by Professor Noa Shenkar and graduate student Gal Navron looked for residuals of three frequently-used pharmaceuticals at 11 sampled sites along the Israeli coastline.
