Our client is a NYC-based company in the medical industry, developing custom software to streamline clinical workflows, enhance patient care coordination, and support back-office operations. The company is looking to expand its tech team in Israel.
We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our growing team and take ownership of key components of a complex medical admin and order processing system. You’ll
be working with a modern backend stack — Node.js, NestJS, and TypeORM — to develop scalable and maintainable APIs and services.
Responsibilities
● Implement backend features based on project specifications using NestJS and
TypeORM
● Design and build modular, maintainable code for:
● Collaborate with frontend developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure
business needs are met
● Write clean, well-documented code and cover your work with unit and integration tests
● Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
● Use Git and follow pull request/code review practices
● Participate in system architecture discussions and provide input on design decisions
Required Skills
● 4+ years of experience with Node.js
● 2+ years working with NestJS in production environments
● Strong command of TypeORM or equivalent ORM
● Solid understanding of relational databases and entity relationships
● Experience designing RESTful APIs
● Familiarity with Git and Docker
● Ability to work independently and own modules from start to finish
● Unit testing experience with Jest
Bonus / Nice-to-Haves
● Familiarity with authentication flows (JWT)
● Exposure to message queues or event-driven architecture
● Experience writing migrations and using database versioning tools
● Exposure to healthcare tech, PACS systems, or HIPAA-compliant software
Full time - US hours required
