Project Manager - Israel Destination
Full Time

Israel Destination is a Jerusalem-based company leading in the field of educational tourism, specializing in creating significant and unforgettable experiences for groups, organizations and individuals, primarily from the United States but also from other places around the world. Our goal is to provide our customers with a unique Israeli experience, which introduces them to the beautiful sides of Israel. The company focuses on quality customer service, end-to-end logistical management and tailor-made experiences for each customer, with an emphasis on values, Zionism and education.

The Project Manager is the central axis of operations in working with inbound group tourism. This person serves as the link between the client abroad on the one hand, and our internal team on the other. They are responsible for the project’s planning, organization, budget management, and marketing, working alongside clients from start to finish: from the planning stage to execution.

The Project Manager we’re looking for is a special kind of person: someone with both strong interpersonal skills, and excellent organizational and planning abilities; someone who provides outstanding service, yet knows how to be assertive when needed. Above all, this person should be value-driven, people-oriented, and passionate about Israel, a team player who’s prepared for hard work - which is also deeply rewarding and enjoyable.

Responsibilities:

  • Project planning: understanding the client’s needs, building a journey in Israel according to the needs, with attention to both value and content needs and logistical needs (hospitality, transportation, etc.).
  • Preparing the project: working with the various teams in the company to turn the schedule into a booked program, including tracking progress and timelines.
  • Supporting the visit: supporting the groups during their stay in Israel (mainly during the summer months), providing solutions for needs and problems that come up throughout the visit.
  • Responsibility for managing the project’s budget, building a program that matches the budget constraints, and finalizing a contract with the client based on the agreed upon plan.
  • Daily work with internal interfaces in the company, including the content and logistics teams.
  • Supporting the hiring process for temporary staff for the groups and staff placements.

Requirements:

  • Experience with project management in the inbound tourism field.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
  • Experience working with Jewish communities around the world - an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Israel’s geography - an advantage.
  • Tour Guide certificate from the Ministry of Tourism - an advantage.
  • Availability during non-work hours during peak tourism season.
  • Mother-tongue proficiency in Hebrew and English (speaking, reading and writing).
  • Full time work from the company’s offices in Jerusalem.
  • Valid driver’s license.
