NIS 10,000-12,000 starting salary | Beit Shemesh / Jerusalem / Modiin | Full-time
Anglo Mortgages is looking for a highly capable, organised and proactive Mortgage Processor / Bank Liaison.
Your job is to get mortgages through the banks.
You will spend most of your time in bank branches, building relationships with bankers, chasing files, solving problems and making sure mortgages keep moving towards release.
This is primarily a bank-facing operational role, not a sales or client-facing position.
Approximately 80% of the role involves working in and travelling between bank branches, primarily in Beit Shemesh, Jerusalem and Modiin, with approximately 20% working from home.
There is flexibility to focus more heavily on one geographic area in the future.
The field-based nature of the role is critical. In Israeli banking, many problems that theoretically can be solved by phone or email are, in practice, resolved much more effectively by being physically present in the branch, finding the right person and getting things done.
On a typical day, you will be responsible for moving a portfolio of live mortgage files forward through the banks. This will include:
The aim is that, over time, you become the person who can look at a mortgage file, understand what is blocking it and know what needs to happen next without needing to be managed step by step.
Previous mortgage or banking experience is an advantage, but is not essential. We care more about finding a high-quality person with the judgment, work ethic and ability to learn and take ownership.
This is a full-time position (182 hours per month), Sunday-Thursday; regular availability during Israeli banking hours is a must.
Starting salary: NIS 10,000-12,000 gross per month for full-time, depending on experience, plus travel/mileage expenses. There is meaningful scope for salary growth as the successful candidate develops and takes independent ownership of the mortgage-processing function.
A key objective of this role is to transfer day-to-day ownership of mortgage processing away from the founder and into a strong, independent operating function.
We don’t expect that to happen overnight. Initially, there will be significant learning, questions and senior input.
Success means that, over time, you develop the knowledge and judgment to make decisions, solve problems and move files forward with progressively less involvement from the founder.
The long-term opportunity is to become the person trusted to know where every file stands, maintain strong relationships inside the banks, solve problems and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Along the way, you will develop a valuable combination of banking knowledge, financial-services experience, relationship management, problem-solving and operational management skills. You will learn how complex financial transactions actually move through Israeli banks, how to navigate large organisations and get things done, and how to manage multiple high-value transactions simultaneously.
The growth of the role - including compensation - will be directly linked to that increasing level of ownership and independence. The more of the mortgage-processing function you can genuinely own, the more valuable the role becomes to Anglo Mortgages.
