Hadassah Offices in Israel (HOI) serves as the on-the-ground liaison and strategic partner for Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America (HWZOA) in Israel. HOI represents HWZOA vis-à-vis Hadassah-owned entities, primarily the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO), and plays a central role in aligning fundraising priorities, donor stewardship, recognition, and strategic development initiatives between Israel and global Hadassah partners.

Position Summary

The Manager, Development, Donors and Events is a senior management role responsible for leading HOI’s Development, Donors and Events Department and serving as a key liaison between HOI, HWZOA, HMO, and international Hadassah partners. Working in close partnership with the Executive Director of HOI and senior leadership, the role has primary responsibility for project management, follow-up, and execution across the department, ensuring that priorities move efficiently from planning to implementation. The role emphasizes empowering team members while maintaining accountability, improving workflows, and ensuring high-quality delivery across all development-related functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Department Leadership, Team Management and Project Execution

  •Lead, manage, mentor and empower team members within the Development,         Donors and Events Department, while ensuring clear ownership, follow-up, and     completion of deliverables.

 •Directly manage and oversee the managers and leads, including in the following key areas: Visits and Events Team, Writing Team, Donor Recognition, Naming Opportunities Manager, Development Operations Manager and Youth Villages Development Associate.

 •Serve as the central project manager for the department, translating strategic priorities into clear workplans, timelines and responsibilities.

 •Ensure effective coordination across teams, proactively removing bottlenecks and facilitating improved workflows and information flow.

 •Oversee departmental planning, execution, and continuous improvement, with a focus on operational efficiency and results.

 •Foster a culture of professionalism, donor stewardship, accountability and collaboration.

2. Donor Stewardship, Recognition, Visits and Events

 •Oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of donor stewardship, recognition, and dedication initiatives, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational standards and strategic priorities.

 •Ensure high-level donor, volunteer, and leadership experiences during visits, events, and dedications, working in close coordination with the Executive Director and other senior leadership as appropriate.

 •Support and operationalize donor visits and engagements at HMO as strategic cultivation and stewardship opportunities, in coordination with relevant colleagues in Israel and abroad, and in alignment with overarching donor strategy and leadership guidance.

3. Financial Coordination and Fund Transfers

 •Coordinate Special Gifts transfers in close collaboration with departmental staff, HWZOA’s Philanthropy Division, Finance and the HOI’s Executive Director and CFO.

 •Ensure timely flow of information required for financial reconciliation, reporting and compliance related to special gifts and restricted projects.

4. Physician Engagement and International Fundraising Support

 •Facilitate and coordinate lists of physicians and hospital staff for engagement in international fundraising and donor-facing activities.

5. Reporting and Additional Duties

 •Prepare and submit reports, summaries and updates as requested by the Executive Director of HOI and HWZOA leadership.

 •Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director of HOI.

 •This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Hadassah Offices in Israel (HOI).

Requirements

 •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.

 •Significant experience in development, donor stewardship, project management, or related senior coordination roles, preferably in a complex or multi-stakeholder environment.

 •Proven ability to manage and empower teams while ensuring accountability, follow-through and high-quality delivery.

 •Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, execution, tracking progress, and resolving bottlenecks across multiple initiatives.

 •Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

 •Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate high-level priorities into practical plans and actionable next steps.

 •Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hebrew, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership, donors and international partners.
