Self confidence is one of the most important character traits we can possess. The way we feel about ourselves may relate to certain aspects of our physical appearance be it breast size, a wide or disproportionate nose, or a “turkey” neck. Our confidence is often reflected in our demeanor, and a smile can light up the room, and invite others to engage. Like it or not, on Planet Earth, appearance matters. It’s why we comb our hair and wear clean clothing. From birth to old age, our lives are shaped by our human interactions, which affect us as individuals and can impact on us all throughout our lifetimes, and out interactions with others are intimately related to how we feel about ourselves. This is especially true in childhood and adolescence as our sense of self forms, but continues well into adulthood. Self esteem is not age related.
