We are seeking an experienced attorney and nonprofit advisor to provide governance and compliance guidance to an established 501(c)(3) organization.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience advising nonprofit organizations on board governance, bylaws, fiduciary responsibilities, conflict-of-interest policies, IRS compliance, Form 990 governance issues, financial oversight, policies and best practices.
We are particularly interested in an independent attorney, solo practitioner, or nonprofit governance consultant with a legal background rather than a large law firm. The initial engagement will include a review of our current governance structure and practices, recommendations for improvements, and assistance establishing strong ongoing compliance procedures.
