The Senior Scientist Microscopy/Imaging will have the opportunity to develop and incorporate imaging tools that will be part of a precision medicine product, with direct impact on patient care.Title: Senior Scientist Microscopy/ImagingGenetika+ is a well-funded, award-winning start-up based in Tel Aviv, working on cutting edge technologies, developing a new diagnostic tool for the management of Major Depression. Our mission is to improve outcomes for patients with Depression, reduce the time patients suffer and improve the quality of patient lives. We are recruiting a Senior Scientist Microscopy/Imaging to help drive our microscopy research program. The candidate should be a highly motivated and independent biologist who will work with the rest of the team on development of new platform technologies. The successful candidate will ideally be an accomplished scientist extensively familiar with cellular neuroscience and microscopy.Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Drive scientific progress using high content confocal microscopy of neuronal cultures
  • Develop and validate innovative approaches to make significant improvements in microscopy and image analysis pipeline
  • Solving complex problems to contribute to the crucial development of our science
  • Evaluate and integrate new imaging and image processing methods, techniques and technologies to independently progress key aspects of projects
  • Oversee, develop, and mentor a team together driving aggressively toward successful scientific outcomes
  • Leadership and execution of their own and their team’s scientific program

Qualifications & experience:· Ph.D. Degree in Neuroscience or equivalent· Extensive experience in confocal microscopy· Extensive experience in image analysis (using programs such as CellProfiler, Imaris, Neurolucida...)· Programing (advantage)· Experience with high content screening· Experience with Zeiss (advantage)· Industry experience (advantage)· Experience with neurobiology research· Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail· Flexible to shifting priorities and variable workloads· Strong communication skills and data managementPlease send your CV and a paragraph on your relevant experience (Role: Senior Scientist-Microscopy and Imaging) to [email protected]
