On a more personal note about my story, please come to hear about me Joel Caplan American-Israeli, a defrauded investor in an electric bike/lithium-ion battery stock scam. My 9 year saga came to an end in December of 2019 when our New York Attorneys simply gave up after trying to negotiate with the Chinese since 2015 when the Court Case 9542-VCMR was won in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
In short, our 100 million dollar United States Court Judgment against Advanced Battery Technologies (CLICK HERE) was near worthless. The electric bike and battery company disappeared in the PRC after raising $100,000,000 of capital through their NASDAQ Listing (just like Luckin Coffee that recently admitted to over $300,000,000 in accounting fraud). CLICK HERE for footage from an $85,000,000 lithium-ion battery in Donguan China that just shut down and removed the equipment and never communicated with US Investors again. (Very typical in China)
Astonishingly, there were over 200 China-based companies that also got deregistered by the SEC over the last 10 years. Most investors already knew that US court judgements are not enforceable in China.
As the global community learns about "what China knew and when did they know it", and as we deal with the tragic loss of life over 300,000 pre-mature deaths, we must also become aware of where our investment dollars are going. China must choose between becoming honest and transparent and becoming a global partner with other democracies or to continue on the very risky path but they have recently chosen with the lifelong appointment of President Xi and a doubling down on Communist totalitarian ideology. Israelis hopefully will also think abou this issue deeply.
My own story of losing ten years of my life-savings is a cautionary tale and I will continue to tell it from the hills of Jerusalem until Justice for myself and for others is achieved.
