There were no reports of injuries or damage.

Palestinian terrorists in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip fired a long-range missile that set off sirens in towns just south of Haifa on Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed.

The military said the projectile exploded mid-air.

There were no reports of injuries, the Magen David Adom emergency medical service said.

Hamas took responsibility for the attack, claiming it had fired an R-160 missile. The R-160 "Rantisi" is made by Hamas and has an estimated range of 160 kilometers (100 miles).

On Oct. 12, the IDF said a long-range rocket fired from Gaza hit an open area in the Carmel region near Haifa, causing no damage.

Hamas also fired a long-range rocket from Gaza towards Eilat on Wednesday.

The IDF said the projectile hit an open area, causing no injuries or damage.

No sirens were sounded in Israel's southernmost city, although residents of the area reported hearing an explosion.

Later on Wednesday, four rockets were fired at Kiryat Shmona, near the borders with Lebanon and Syria, the IDF said.

All four rockets struck open areas and caused no injuries. The IDF reportedly attacked terrorist targets in Lebanon in response.

On Tuesday afternoon, Palestinian terrorists in the Strip launched a massive barrage of rockets at central Israel, sending more than a million people running for shelter.

Hamas took responsibility for the attack, confirming in a statement that it fired a “heavy barrage towards the Tel Aviv area.”

At least three people sustained injuries, Magen David Adom reported.

Meanwhile, a direct rocket impact in the western Samaria community of Alfei Menashe destroyed a residential structure. The home’s three residents, including a woman in her 70s, had entered the safe room and were unharmed, MDA said.

On Monday, the IDF shot down a drone that infiltrated Israel by sea from Lebanon and set off sirens in the Acre region on Israel’s northern coast for the first time since war erupted with Hamas's Oct. 7 cross-border massacre.

As of Sunday, terrorist groups had fired more than 7,400 rockets into Israel since Oct. 7.
