The Hadassah Offices in Israel (HOI) serve as the liaison office for Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America (HWZOA) in Israel, representing HWZOA in Israel and providing oversight, coordination and fundraising support for Hadassah-owned entities in Israel, including Hadassah Medical Organization, Meir Shfeya Youth Village and Hadassah Neurim Youth Village. In addition, HOI is responsible for oversight of issues related to lands and properties owned by HWZOA in Israel and ensures the ongoing integrity of all such properties.
Position Overview:
As the Hebrew Fundraising Writer, you will play a pivotal role in our ongoing efforts to support and enhance fundraising in Israel. You will specialize in crafting compelling fundraising materials in Hebrew, critical to securing essential funding for Hadassah Medical Organization and our youth villages in Israel. This part-time position is based in our Jerusalem office.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop Persuasive Grant Proposals: Create compelling grant proposals in Hebrew, effectively conveying the urgency and significance of supporting Hadassah's initiatives.
2. Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with various teams and key colleagues across organizations to align proposal content with organizational priorities.
3. Gather Data and Stories: Collect data, information, and impactful stories to craft proposals and reports for donors and foundations in Hebrew.
4. Identify New Funding Opportunities: Conduct market research in Israel to identify potential new donors, clarify their requirements, and pursue fresh funding opportunities.
Requirements/Qualifications:
1. Relevant Bachelor's Degree (Master's Preferred): Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, communication, or marketing.
2. Proven Fundraising Writing Experience in Hebrew: At least four years of experience in nonprofit development or grant writing roles, preferably with a focus on scientific or medical fields.
3. Organizational Skills: Be highly proactive with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks effectively.
4. Communication Skills (Hebrew): Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew and English, enabling productive engagement with diverse stakeholders.
5. Fundraising Expertise: Exhibit demonstrated experience in writing for fundraising purposes in Hebrew and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
6. Project Management Systems (Preferred): Experience with project management systems is preferred.

This position reports to the Deputy Executive Director for Development.
