The strikes targeted several sites near the town of Zakiyah, including military bases used by Iranian militias, according to Israeli media reports.
Two people were killed by Israel strikes on targets near Damascus early on Monday morning, Syrian state media reported.
“At about 05:00 a.m. on Monday, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial act of aggression from the direction of southern Beirut, targeting with missiles some sites in Damascus vicinity,” the Syrian Arab News Agency reported, citing a military official.
