The rabbi's family has appealed to the public to pray for his recovery.

Religious-Zionist leader Rabbi Haim Drukman remained in “very serious condition” on Wednesday after requiring life-saving CPR. Drukman has been treated in the intensive care unit at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center since last week after catching COVID-19.

“The rabbi is being treated by the staff at the internal intensive care unit at Hadassah Ein Kerem while he is on assisted breathing and sedated, after undergoing CPR several hours ago,” the hospital said in a statement.

Rabbi Drukman’s family stated Wednesday afternoon that his condition took a turn for the worse since he was admitted to the hospital, and has appealed to the public to pray for the rabbi’s recovery.

“The family members of Rabbi Drukman would like to inform you that in the last few minutes his condition has worsened and ask the public to urgently say the chapters of the Psalms and offer prayers for the healing of Rabbi Haim Meir ben Milka,” said the family’s statement.
