Dear My Plotkin according to our records you have not been charged for an item that was not repaired. These cases are very rare but here is an outline of our policy which is read as part of the phone script when booking an appointment to help with understanding. We are very transparent and let everyone know about these policies in advance prior to booking. Our policy is simple, you will be charged the minimum service charge even if we cannot complete the repair in one of these three scenarios. 1) Someone above the age of 15 is not home when the technician arrives - for liability reasons 2) You cancel the appointment less than 24 hours in advance - As we cannot fill the time with another job. 3) If the item cannot be repaired due to an inability to find parts in the market, or gain access to the item that needs repair. - We must charge for this type of case as there are a lot of costs involved in getting to your home and spending time diagnosing the issue, that is why we have a minimum service charge. We hope that clear, as always customer satisfaction is our top priority. we hope you take down this misleading review. Kind regards, The HandyMench
