Homage to Jacob van Ruisdael The Windmill At Wijk bij Duurstede.
I acquired this piece while traveling in Amsterdam. It is an old original oil on canvas (likely dates to the late 19th century).
There are quite a few spots with paint loss and thinning, mostly around the edge of the painting where the stretcher bar is. Please reference the listing's photographs for a full description of the current state of the artwork. Would likely benefit from a cleaning and some minor restoration work though it looks very nice hung as-is as well.
This is being sold as an "after" van Ruisdael piece. A very well done (likely) reproduction of the original piece by the Dutch master. Frame is not original but is in very good shape. The frame will ship free with the painting included "as-is" with no warranties.
This piece is signed though somewhat difficult to fully make out. Appears to be signed "G. Sandberger naar Ruisdael" on bottom right of canvas.
Measures approximately 30 1/2" x 26 1/2" framed. Stretcher measures approximately 24" x 20".
