QA Team Leader – Data Focused

Hours: Sunday through Thursday, 6-8 hours a day: 9 AM-2 PM are mandatory in- office hours. additional hours may be in-office or remote

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Team Leader – Data Focused to combine hands-on data QA expertise with team leadership responsibilities. This role involves leading Data QA activities while actively working with complex data systems, including SSMS, advanced SQL, stored procedures, and ETL processes.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and analytical, with a strong sense of ownership, excellent communication skills, and a structured, organized approach. With a strong leadership and mentoring mindset, you thrive in a collaborative Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Data QA team, including prioritization and mentoring
• Design, document and execute test plans for complex data processes and ETL pipelines
• Write and analyze SQL queries and stored procedures in SSMS
• Validate data integrity and ensure accurate data transfers across systems
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and data engineers

Requirements:

Mandatory:

• 3-5 years of Data QA experience with SSMS, including 1–2 years in a team lead role
• Strong SQL expertise (complex queries, joins, aggregations, and performance understanding)
• Experience writing and analyzing stored procedures
• Deep understanding of data flows and ETL processes
• Experience writing structured test plans and QA documentation

Advantage:

• Experience with data automation tools
• Experience in large-scale data environments
• Experience working in Agile methodology
