Our client is a NYC-based company in the medical industry, developing custom software to streamline clinical workflows, enhance patient care coordination, and support back-office operations. The company is looking to expand its tech team in Israel.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer with experience in desktop application development using Electron or similar frameworks. You’ll help build mission-critical apps involving file uploads, storage, medical imaging formats, and integration with clinical systems. The role spans robust backend APIs, frontend development, and system-level tasks like secure file handling and local desktop processing.

Responsibilities

● Develop and maintain full stack applications for web and desktop (Electron or equivalent)

● Build secure and reliable file upload and storage systems, including large medical files

● Implement RESTful APIs using Node.js (NestJS preferred)

● Build modular and responsive UIs in React with TypeScript

● Design and manage PostgreSQL schemas and queries

● Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth integration across backend, frontend, and desktop layers

● Work on feature sets that involve direct interaction with the file system and local resources

● Optimize for performance, reliability, and security, especially in sensitive healthcare contexts

Required Skills

● 7+ years of experience in full stack development

● Proficiency with Node.js, PostgreSQL, React, and TypeScript

● Experience building desktop applications using Electron, Tauri, or similar frameworks

● Strong understanding of file system interaction and local application storage

● Familiarity with medical or structured files (e.g., PDFs, ZIPs, DICOM) and secure handling

● Solid grasp of REST API development and consumption

● Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams

Bonus / Nice-to-Haves

● Experience handling DICOM files or other imaging formats

● Exposure to healthcare tech, PACS systems, or HIPAA-compliant software

Full time - US hours required

Office based - TBD, hybrid option.
