Organization is seeking a creative, organized, and community-minded Marketing
and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This role is a unique blend of digital
engagement, platform management, and implementing a high-level growth strategy.
We are looking for someone to take on the communication with our audiences and support our sales efforts. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is someone who understands not-for-profit agencies, educational institutions, cultural initiatives, and the language of Jewish communal life, and can translate our passion for nurturing a community based in creativity, connection, and intellectual and spiritual growth in Jerusalem and around the world through a welcoming, modern, vibrant digital presence.
Responsibilities
This position is split into three core areas of responsibility:
1. Content Curation & Editorial (1/3)
You will be the voice of our digital community.
● Newsletter Management: End-to-end production of our weekly newsletters, ensuring high-
quality copy, layout, and link integrity.
● Content Moderation: Monitoring our community forums and social comments to maintain a
respectful, engaging, and "on-brand" environment.
● Copyediting: Polishing educational content and announcements to ensure they resonate
with a global Diaspora audience.
2. Media Channel Management (1/3)
You will handle the “day-to-day” pulse of our digital ecosystem.
● Social Media: Scheduling and posting across Facebook, Instagram, and other media (see
point 3).
● System Automation: Implementing and managing workflows to streamline how leads move
from social media into our database.
● Analytics: Tracking engagement metrics to see what content the community loves most.
3. Creative Strategy & Pipeline Growth (1/3)
This is your chance to think big and help us grow.
● Growth Hacking: Brainstorming and executing campaigns to increase our student base and
program participants.
● Funnel Design: Mapping out the "user journey"—from the moment someone sees a post to the moment they register for a program in Jerusalem.
● Creative Assets: Collaborating on visual storytelling and messaging
4. Minor administrative tasks (10%)
● Assist in administrative office tasks (really minor, but these tasks are part of the role).
Requirements:
● Native-level fluency in English: *A MUST*
● Proficiency in Hebrew: Capacity to engage comfortably with staff and clientele in Hebrew.
● Jewish Communal Fluency: Experience and understanding of the Jewish communal world,
understanding the intricacies Reform, Conservative/Masorti and Orthodox values,
institutions, and culture.
● Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with email marketing software, fluency in social media, and an
interest in marketing automation/CRMs.
● Experience: 1–2 years in marketing, communications, or a relevant communal role
(internship experience included).
