Freelance Mental Health Content Editor (Remote • Flexible Hours)
Freelance / Contractor

Love writing? Interested in psychology? Looking for flexible freelance work?

Therapy Everywhere is an Israeli digital marketing company that helps psychologists, therapists, psychiatrists, and counseling practices across the United States and Canada build successful practices.

We're looking for a native English speaker to join us as a freelance content editor.

We'renot looking for a proofreader. We're looking for someone who can ask "should we even be saying this?" — not just "is this sentence clean?"

You'll review AI-assisted articles and website content, making sure they sound natural, reflect each therapist's unique voice, are clinically appropriate, and genuinely connect with readers.

This role may be a great fit if you are:

  • A native English speaker living in Israel
  • An excellent writer and editor
  • Interested in psychology, counseling, or mental health
  • Detail-oriented and able to spot awkward or generic writing
  • Comfortable working with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude
  • Looking for flexible, remote freelance work

A background in psychology, social work, counseling, healthcare, communications, journalism, or English is a plus—but not required.

What you'll do

  • Catch red flags: overstated claims, inappropriate modalities, misused terms.
  • Cross-check details (credentials, specialties, populations served, location).
  • Remove generic AI filler ("in today's fast-paced world," "you are not alone”).
  • Tighten structure, headings, and CTAs for readability and conversion.
  • Improve readability, flow, and emotional resonance.
  • Improve our process by flagging recurring problems (such as voice drift).
  • Edit to maximize AI Visibility and AI Citations.

What we're looking for

You don't need years of editing experience.

We're looking for someone with:

  • English mother tongue and outstanding written English- absolute requirement.
  • Good judgment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
  • An ear for voice: you can tell when copy sounds flattened or generic
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree. If you were a great student, let us know!
  • Live in Israel. This is an absolute requirement.

We'll teach you our editing standards and workflow.

Nice to have: background in counseling, psychology, social work, or clinical training (current or former grad students welcome), or prior experience editing for healthcare/mental health.

Position details

  • Freelance / contractor
  • Remote
  • Flexible hours
  • Initial workload: approximately 5–10 hours per week, with the potential to grow
  • Competitive hourly or per-project compensation, depending on experience

To apply

Please share

  • A brief note on relevant experience/education
  • Your résumé
  • Any writing or editing samples you'd like to share
  • Your rate expectations (per article or hourly)

Selected candidates will be invited to complete a brief exercise using a real-world example. The next step will be a paid editing exercise using a real-world example.

We'd love to hear from you!
