Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate Social Media Manager to promote Palestinian Media Watch's (PMW) mission through strategic social media engagement, raising awareness, and storytelling.
PMW studies the way peace, terror support, Antisemitism, etc., are found in Palestinian Authority education, PA-controlled communications, and PA activities. We document both impediments and positive developments toward peace and present our findings to governments around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Create compelling content, including graphics, videos, and written posts that communicates PMW's research findings
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and community engagement with sensitivity to complex political topics
- Design social media campaigns to share PMW's documentation with broader audiences
- Track performance metrics and prepare monthly analytics reports
- Collaborate with research staff to transform findings into accessible social media content
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of social media management experience, preferably in advocacy or research organizations
- Proficiency in social media management tools and design software (Canva, etc.)
- Strong written communication skills and ability to present complex research findings clearly
- Experience with social media advertising and analytics
- Ability to handle sensitive political content with professionalism and accuracy
- Creative problem-solver
