A company in New jersey is looking for a full-time office operator: someone whose full attention is booking, sales, billing and mileage oversight and support. The executive team handles marketing, people ops and growth strategy, and will introduce the Operating Director to those issues as needed, and as the other areas of responsibility permit. The goal is to find a person who can be trusted to own how the business runs day-to-day, freeing up the CEO from needing to be everywhere at once. This is built so that the ideal candidate starts inside the work, becoming a subject matter expert, before they are asked to manage the department and its needs.
The Model
● Months 1 to 3: works inside booking directly, learning fare and points execution, systems and the operational rhythm of the business firsthand
● Months 4 to 6: rotates through sales support and cross team coordination, building visibility into how sales, booking and billing depend on each other
● Months 6 and beyond: assumes increasing ownership of process, team coordination and day to day decision making, with milestones reviewed at 90-day intervals throughout Core Responsibilities, Once Ramped
● Owns booking, sales support, mileage and billing operations end to end
● Builds and enforces process where none currently exists, including handoffs between sales and booking, response time standards and escalation paths
● Manages and coaches the booking and sales teams' day to day performance, using the competency framework already in place
● Partners with executive team during the transition period on systems, financial oversight and people
