Nutrition advice to prepare before a fast

Here are some tips for preparing your body for the fast. 
Pre-Fast: 
  • Drink a lot of water in the day before the fast
  • Eat Complex carbs before fast
  • Start caffeine withdrawal ahead of time, and do it gradually
  • Avoid foods that will make you thirsty
  • Don't overstuff yourself before the fast
  • It may be a good idea to stay out of the sun
  • Start the day before the fast with a large, balanced breakfast. Have a moderate lunch so you'll be able to eat the final meal.
  • Start the final meal early, so you won't be rushed. 

Post fast: 
  • take it slow
  • start simple
  • drink water
