The Assistant Director of Education and Community Programs will share the CityKids vision for highest quality and innovative education by independently developing creative programs, recruiting and supporting enthusiastic teachers, ensuring full enrollment and nurturing a strong sense of community.

Responsibilities include ensuring high quality programming through oversight and management of:

  • After school English lessons and programs
  • Friday community events
  • Holiday and Summer camps
  • Parenting workshops
  • Curriculum development
  • Teacher wellbeing and professional growth


  • Education Degree or Teachers Certification
  • 3+ years experience in classroom teaching and/or with curriculum development
  • Knowledge of best practices in phonics education
  • Creative, problem solver with growth mindset
  • High level of organizational skills and administrative experience
  • Experience in developing programs/lesson plans and differentiating to meet the needs of various abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to interact, communicate, and build relationships with parents and caregivers
  • English (mother tongue) and Hebrew (basic)
  • Preferred - Demonstrated community building capabilities Proven experience in management

Position Specifics:

  • Immediate start date
  • Full time
  • Present during all scheduled programs - Sun-Wed and some Thursdays 16:00-19:00; Day Camps - Sukkot, Hanukkah, Purim, Passover, Summer Camp 8:00-16:30; Fridays - Friday Club and workshops - 8:00-13:00
  • Salary range - 10,000-13,000nis/month
