Dedicated, hard worker needed for a charity-focused non-profit organization near Talpiot. English mother tongue and Hebrew speaking AND writing skills REQUIRED. Experience writing donor correspondence and grant proposals/reports strongly preferred, but we can teach you if you meet other requirements and preferences. Your own car and Jerusalem-area residency strongly preferred. Four days a week; 28 hours according to the contract, and usually only 24 hours from the actual office, but this is NOT a work-from-home position. Candidates with grant writing experience and mastery of Microsoft Office strongly preferred. Detail oriented and excellent interpersonal skills preferred. Other languages are a plus. This is a sweet, well-known organization and nice place to work, with decent salary and benefits. This is a part-time position (maximum 28 hours per week); 4-6 hours of this 28 are flex-time that can be done from home part of the year.

Duties include:

  • Preparing draft grant proposals and reports for our fundraiser
  • Preparing thank you letters for donations
  • Collecting stories of patients and volunteers for use by the fundraising staff
  • Occasional Hebrew to English translating or vice versa
  • Scheduling weekly volunteers
  • Collecting required paperwork and submission to the relevant offices
  • Keeping the receptionist up-to-date with volunteer scheduling information
  • Confirming that all volunteers have the information they need to ensure smooth volunteering (including help with basic touring scheduling/advice)
  • Taking the volunteers for small excursions, within Jerusalem
  • Picking up volunteers on Sunday mornings, within Jerusalem
  • Being the primary contact for our volunteers, who are also our donors – warm, friendly, and respectful manner required.
  • Updating all volunteers’ information into SalesForce
