Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Team Leader to join our core engineering group, starting as a Senior Developer and evolving into a leadership role.
This role is ideal for a strong technologist who combines deep development expertise with the ability to lead teams, drive architecture, and deliver enterprise-grade products in the legacy modernization and integration space.
You will work on cutting-edge solutions enabling phased modernization, API-driven integration, and AI-powered legacy transformation, while leading a team responsible for building scalable, production-ready systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Hands-on Development (Initial Phase)
* Design and develop high-quality, scalable backend systems using Java/Kotlin
* Build and evolve cloud-native microservices and APIs
* Work closely with product and architecture on modernization and integration use cases
* Contribute to core platform components
* Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and performance
Technical Leadership
* Lead architecture decisions across integration and modernization solutions
* Drive adoption of cloud, containerization, and AI-driven capabilities
* Own end-to-end delivery of key features and services
* Mentor developers and establish engineering standards
Team Management (Growth Phase)
* Build, lead, and grow a team of engineers
* Manage delivery, priorities, and execution
* Collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales engineering, and customer teams
* Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence
Requirements
Experience
* 10+ years of hands-on software development
* 4+ years in team leadership / management roles
* Proven experience building enterprise-grade software systems
Technical Skills
* Strong experience with Java and/or Kotlin
* Deep understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems
* Hands-on experience with Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
* Experience or strong interest in AI-driven development / AI-assisted engineering workflows
Domain Expertise (Advantage)
* Integration platforms / iPaaS
* Legacy systems (Mainframe, AS400, COBOL, CICS, IMS)
* Modernization projects (refactor, replatform, coexistence)
Industry Experience (Advantage)
* Highly regulated environments (banking, insurance, financial services)
What We’re Looking For

* Experience with low-code / integration platforms
