Seeking a sharp, fast-moving Social Media News Poster to monitor, curate, and publish timely content across multiple channels. This role blends news awareness, content judgment, and original voice, with a strong emphasis on responsiveness and real-time engagement.
Responsibilities:
Monitor news and updates across WhatsApp, Twitter, and Instagram
Identify, select, and curate relevant and high-interest content
Add original perspective, commentary, and framing to posts
Publish consistently across social platforms
Maintain awareness of trending topics and breaking news
Ensure timely posting aligned with audience expectations
Requirements:
Strong understanding of social media platforms and news cycles
Passion for social media and staying on top of trends
Excellent judgment in selecting relevant and engaging content
Ability to add clear, concise, and compelling commentary
Exceptionally high responsiveness and availability, including being "on call" at all times
Ability to respond quickly to breaking content needs, including Saturday night (~3 hours) and Sunday (~5 hours) coverage
Comfort working in a fast-paced, real-time content environment
Reliable and consistent posting habits
