Personal Assistant – Bright, Resourceful, Gets Things Done
Part Time
0544811196 [email protected]
24 Shimshon St. Jerusalem

We are a couple in the Baka area looking for a bright, resourceful, and proactive person to help us tackle an accumulated list of organizational, research, and practical tasks.

This is a varied role with genuinely interesting work. Many of the tasks are things we haven’t had time to figure out ourselves, so this role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning unclear situations into finished results.

Position
3-month engagement to start, with a strong possibility of continuing.
Flexible schedule — roughly half-time (about 15–20 hours/week), to be agreed.

Possible areas of work

  • Document organization — sorting, filing, and creating a clear system for a backlog of papers (mostly in English); deciding what to keep, archive, or discard
  • Project support — moving stalled projects forward; creating structure, tracking next steps, ensuring follow-through
  • Genealogy research — searching databases, contacting archives, organizing findings, building timelines
  • Household organization — decluttering and setting up simple systems
  • Errands — occasional pickups and general “gopher” tasks around Jerusalem

Who you are

  • Smart, curious, and resourceful
  • A self-starter who figures things out rather than waiting to be told
  • Organized and comfortable managing several small projects
  • Willing to provide gentle accountability to keep things moving
  • Comfortable with online research
  • Reliable and trustworthy

You don’t need experience in every area. What matters most is intelligence, initiative, and follow-through. This role could be an excellent fit for a graduate student, researcher, retired professional, or capable generalist who enjoys solving practical problems and making things happen.

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and hours.

To apply:
Send a short email introducing yourself and your background. Explain why this role appeals to you, and describe one project or task—personal or professional—where you had to figure things out largely on your own. A CV is welcome but not required.
Please put “Assistant application” in the subject line.
