RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR AT THE VAN LEER JERUSALEM INSTITUTE
JOB DESCRIPTION
Research, Grant Writing and Administration
- Matching prospective donors to the annual work plan. This includes ongoing research on foundations, philanthropists and grants, writing applications and LOIs, and working with the academic staff to prepare reports.
- Managing all administrative activities related to resource development, including bureaucratic registrations and communications, preparation and submission of organizational documents and maintenance of written records.
- Tracking applications and reporting deadlines and ensuring quality and timely submissions.
Data Management
- Maintaining CRM system with up-to-date data, including contact details, support history, submission dates and reporting schedules.
- Managing all department data, including mailing lists and guest lists, and tailoring these according to needs.
External Relations Coordination
- Writing, editing and sending quarterly newsletters in English, and supporting the preparation of the Annual Report.
- Constructing and maintaining a digital infrastructure for resource development by working with the digital department to ensure best use of social media, the website and the Internet for the benefit of fundraising.
- Assisting in planning fundraising trips, including research of communities, donors and foundations, and logistical planning of meetings, travel and accommodation.
- Supporting the coordination of Institute tours and donor events.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- An understanding or an ability to learn the research areas and activities of the Van Leer Institute.
- Proficiency using Office software, with the ability to learn new platforms quickly, a must.
- Excellent writing skills in English and Hebrew, are obligatory.
- Experience with grant writing and fundraising, an advantage.
- Administrative experience, ability to prioritize tasks and deal with work under pressure.
- Highly motivated to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with priority given to social sciences and humanities.
