About Us

My Happy Place supports over 850 widows and orphans across Israel — providing free clothing, therapy, wedding support, summer camps, and deep personal care. We're growing fast and need someone sharp, warm, and driven to help us raise the funds that make it all possible.

The Role

We're looking for a Fundraising Assistant to manage donor leads, make cold calls, and help build our fundraising pipeline from the ground up. You'll be the engine behind our outreach — turning names on a list into real relationships and real support.

What You'll Do

• Manage & organize donor leads — keep our CRM/spreadsheets clean, updated, and actionable
• Cold call prospective donors — introduce them to our mission, build rapport, and move them toward giving
• Follow up with lapsed donors — re-engage past supporters who've gone quiet
• Qualify leads — identify high-potential donors and flag them for deeper relationship-building
• Schedule meetings & calls for senior fundraising conversations
• Track outreach activity — log calls, emails, responses, and next steps
• Support campaign pushes — help with phone outreach during major campaigns (Pesach, Rosh Hashana, year-end)
• Assist with donor communications — thank-you calls, updates, and check-ins

• Organized & detail-oriented — leads don't fall through the cracks on your watch
• Warm & personable — you genuinely connect with people
• Mission-driven — you care about helping widows and orphans, and it comes through
• Self-starter — you don't wait to be told what to do next
• English fluency required (Hebrew a plus)
• Nonprofit or sales experience preferred but not required — attitude matters more than résumé

Nice to Have

• Experience with donor databases or CRMs (Brevo, Salesforce, etc.)
• Familiarity with the frum/Jewish nonprofit world
• Comfort with WhatsApp and email outreach
• Basic data entry and spreadsheet skills
