About the Role
The Michael Levin Base serves as a home away from home for thousands of lone soldiers and b’not sheirut who come to Israel to serve and contribute to the country and its people.
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic B’not sheirut Advisor to support lone b’not sheirut before, during, and after their service. This role focuses on ensuring the well-being of participants through personal advising, community building, and program development.
The Advisor will build meaningful relationships with b’not sheirut, provide guidance and support, and help create a warm, welcoming environment both at The Base and within associated housing programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a first point of contact and advisor for lone b’not sheirut throughout all stages of their service
- Meet regularly with participants at The Base, their workplaces, and occasionally their residences
- Provide guidance on challenges, well-being, and navigating service frameworks
- Maintain relationships with major b’not sheirut organizations to ensure proper care and support
- Identify and address issues that arise during service
Programs & Community Engagement
- Work closely with the Events Coordinator to plan and execute programs tailored to the b’not sheirut community
- Take an active role in Base programming and events
- Plan and run regular programs and activities within the Jerusalem housing residence
- Help foster a strong, inclusive, and supportive community environment
Housing Program Oversight
- Support and help develop programming for the Jerusalem residence for female lone soldiers and b’not sheirut
- Create engaging and meaningful experiences for residents
- Ensure a positive and supportive living environment
Qualifications
- Former bat sheirut
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Warm, approachable, and able to make others feel at home
- Proactive and confident in initiating conversations and building relationships
- Creative, organized, and a team player
- Mature, responsible, and committed to supporting others
- Full Hebrew and English proficiency
Preferred:
- Additional languages (French, Spanish, Russian)
- Former lone bat sheirut
Position Details
- Part-time (approximately 20 hours per week), with potential to grow
