Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Coder to join our team. As a Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate coding of medical diagnoses, procedures, and services for proper billing and reimbursement. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining compliance with coding guidelines and regulations while supporting efficient revenue cycle management.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure coding accuracy and completeness in accordance with official coding guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, nurses, and other medical staff to clarify documentation and obtain necessary information for accurate coding
- Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices to maintain proficiency and compliance
- Resolve coding discrepancies and denials by researching and providing appropriate documentation and coding justification
- Assist in coding audits and reviews to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Communicate and coordinate with billing and revenue cycle teams to optimize the claims submission and reimbursement process
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive patient information.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Medical Coder
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Details:
- Full-time position (8 hours/day)
- 6 hours overlapping with EST hours
- Work in our gorgeous office in Har Hotzvim
