QA Manager

We are looking for a transformational quality leader that will lead the transition to a quality focused, automated and self-testing engineering team. Alongside their traditional quality leadership responsibilities, someone that will mentor developers to build tests suites they’ll ship together with their developed features. If you deeply understand and have built a quality system for software development before, we’re looking for you! 

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Responsible for envisioning, building and maintaining a quality system

  • Lead and mentor QA Automation & Manual Testing engineers (6 team members)

  • Act as the expert and focal point for all aspects of code & release quality

  • Oversee all aspects of quality including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met

  • Take active part in planning, execution, defining defects and measurements reporting, automation, CI and monitoring

  • Review test plans and work plans so as to align with our methodology towards achieving constant improvement

  • Manage the development and execution effective automated tests (API, Web)

  • Establish and evolve formal quality processes within the engineering & quality teams, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices

  • Recruit and train new team members

  • Assist hands-on when needed 

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience as Quality Leader (QA/QC), managing at least 5 team members 

  • At least 2 years hands-on experience as an Automation leader testing APIs, Mobile & Web. 

  • Experience in implementing and mentoring engineers in writing Unit Tests – Mandatory

  • Experience with Web browser automation (Selenium/Webdriver)

  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies

  • In-depth knowledge of QA testing methodologies, structured QA procedures for test plans, scripting, test execution, design of test automation, and version release procedures

  • Familiarity with Git, VSTS and understanding CI/CD Processes

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Metrics freak: You must be able to prove you know how to measure parameters of quality

  • Experience working with remote team members 

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, programming, or a related discipline - Advantage
