Mon, April 15 - 2:00 - Main Hall - DOUBLE FEATURE - Two excellent animated films from Rav Wein's Destiny Foundation. “RASHI, A LIGHT AFTER THE DARK AGES” (1999) - First time showing - The life of the judge, spiritual leader, commentator and teacher. Film shows Rashi's brilliance but even more - his courage, his defense of Am Yisrael's rights to religious freedom and his unparalleled wisdom and insight into Torah. “To understand Rashi is to understand the story of the Jews.” (1 hr) and “RAMBAM: THE STORY OF MAIMONIDES” (2004) - The life of one of Judaism’s most influential scholars , the leading codifier of Jewish law, Talmudic commentator and the founding father of Jewish thought. Rambam was also a physician, astronomer and mathematician. (1¼ hrs) (2¼ hrs TOTAL)

Wed, April 17 - 2:00 - Main Hall - DOUBLE FEATURE - “OUT OF SPAIN - JERUSALEM WHICH WAS IN SEPHARAD” (2006) - Brilliant documentary on Sephardi Jewry; Journey through Spain with Yitzhak Navon, fifth President of Israel - “magical and fascinating tapestry of Jews of old which still pervades today”; Part 1 - “The Spanish Connection” and “FROM TOLEDO TO JERUSALEM” (1989) - Yehoram Gaon leads a journey in Ladino and in song from Spain to Eretz Yisrael, retracing the steps and the history of Sephardic Jewry. A film of history, tradition and culture and lovely music. (total - 2 hours)
