My Favorite Uninstaller Program X-291

Recently a client of mine bought a new printer.  When she had problems and questions, she called me in.

I  noticed immediately that she had never uninstalled her old printer.  Consequently, she had ended up trying to print to the old printer - which was no longer connected to her computer.

Here's the solution:  use an uninstaller program.  While Windows has its own built-in uninstaller, I prefer using Revo Uninstaller, which has an Advanced option that allows you to scan your computer for leftover files and registry entries.

Ignore Revo's frequent suggestion to buy the "Pro" edition.  Occasionally, Revo fails to uninstall a program.  I then use Windows' own uninstaller.

Here is a review, which gave it an Editors' Choice award.

And here is a review listing other free uninstallers.  I would stay away from Iobit Uninstaller, even though it received a good review.  While using Iobit programs in the past, I was bombarded with ads for the for-pay, professional editions.

Please note:  Unfortunately, I cannot take any responsibility for use of the software, directions or links suggested. I have no interest - financial or otherwise - in the software or sites listed.  Use at your own risk.

Be Well,
